5 Pie Recipes for Pi Day

by Waverly Wilde

There’s always room for pie. Pi, not so much. But these recipes are a great way to celebrate National Pi Day.

1. Blueberry & Thyme Pi Pie

If you’re going to celebrate Pi Day, then do it with a Pi Pie. We mean put those digits on it. Well, as many as you can fit. The number itself is infinite so you can only take this so far. Yes, that is a challenge.

2. Dutch Apple Pie

Here’s the perfect apple pie to go Dutch on. By that, we mean to have someone else make it but you get to eat it! Or make it yourself because you will not regret it. This classic pie with two layers of crust is always a pleaser.

3. Maple Custard Pie

Custard pies are a thing of indulgence and this one is no exception. Plus the hearty spelt flour crust is a wonderful complement to the velvety rich custard inside.

4. Browned Butter Apple Pie

Yes, there are two apple pies on this list. First, one can never have too much apple pie but secondly, this open-face pie is a thing of beauty.

5. Cranberry Pom Walnut Pie

This is one tasty pie and the fact that the “cranberries are more than just sauce” makes it extra special. Plus, it’s packed with antioxidants from the berries and pomegranate which makes a healthy Pi Day treat if you ignore all the butter and brown sugar.

Now you know how to celebrate Pie Day to its fullest. And if your pies aren’t turning out the way you want, it could very well be your oven. Contact us and let us help.
